She reminds me of my Sister I think...When some people eat with their fork like they are posh...you know what I mean when they use the fork the wrong way round. No wonder she dropped half her potato...you meant to use it like a shovel...that's why it's bent the way it is.

because I hate people who do it, I'd like to know why though as I am openminded, but in a restaurant AKA Beefeater LOL or something that's not posh, I would pick a roast tato up without cutting in half like my sister tells me too lol...I like chomping on something huge rather than being sissy and cutting it

So if you were, say, somewhere a little more elegant than a Beefeater, would you use your cutlery properly then? I'm not asking you out to dinner here, incidentally.

What do you mean?

You can use your fork as a board to then cut across food with the knife. You don't especially have to use a fork like a shovel.

Well I don't really go in a beefeater, I'm not into pub meals...I probably wouldn't touch a restaurant either, both ends of the scales are bad, you've got the snob/yob ends to deal with, so I prefer something sweet and relaxing...Like maybe I'll one day try going out for a curry at a restaurant, those little chicken pieces can be picked up with a fork in a normal way. Like with Chips if I went to a chippy (Not often as I do oven chips at home) I would eat the greasyness with my naked fingers, it's all about the senses, sometimes having a sniff by putting it near me nose before passing it into my opening

They have special cutlery for infants and people who are unable to use proper cutlery!

I'm really sorry that you think eating wonderful food and drinking great wine in a nice restaurant would equate to "poshness". I think that's all do to with your perception and little to do with the kind of people who might be eating there, and using table manners.

To be honest... I still think you're kidding. Well, I half think you're kidding.

I'm happy to eat in the best place, like on holiday, I would read reviews of the best places to eat, but only based on the food and not the expense of the place.
I like Cozy nice places with good food definitly. And will eat nice and neatly, but not with an upside down fork

I had a nice Chicken with a peach on it once in mexico lol

I love putting a whole load of mashed potato lining the boundaries of the strips of metal of the fork from the tips to the left side of the curve where the gaps dissapear and it meats the pure metal part. YUM...and then if I have some Roast Potatoes, I will push it in, and it will look like a toffee apple on a stick as I move it to my lips

This is a very Americanised way of using a fork, and very unsightly! Prongs of the fork should curve downwards and food placed on top of fork, small mouthfuls at a time..
This isn't being "posh" as you put it, but just simple manners and acceptable table etiquette!
