Default If BB Moved To Channel 5

Which format would you want

Personally I think they should change to the US format, because ours obviously isn't working and is just boring and predictable now.
Maybe in a few years they could change back to the current format and it will feel fresh and could even work again.

Why not the US format (no public votes, HGs vote each other out) why not?

BBUK can be manipulated by BB. We know about editing. It can also be moved in certain directions by way of removing certain nominations (punishment for some offenses) and also by using 'Vote to Save' schemes.
To 'some extent' they can push things in certain ways although nothing can be blatantly 'rigging' the series.

BBUSA is not a 'game show'.
It has no regulations for 'game shows' (the USA really has a serious agency in LA for that heh),
and,
this is because it is classified same as 'soap operas' or 'serial dramas'.

BBUSA can and has been scripted. Often it is written 'as it goes'. BB7 All-Stars was a 'scripted' season.
BBUSA has been 'writing' what amounts to a fake 'game show' since then.

Now that you know BBUSA is really a 'fake game show' does it seem nearly as exciting anymore?

(yes, as i say, BBUK also has ways to manipulate things along BUT it actually DOES have to answer to certain rules and regulations in what are sort of 'gambling regulations' for television heh)

Current format but with stricter adhesion to the rules.

No tolerance of people wanting to leave, what they could do is like with theatre shows, they could have reserve housemates selected and if a housemate wanted to leave, that 'understudy potential housemate' be given the chance to replace the housemate asking to leave, then just let that housemate go, no namby pamby with them. Just go.

Get back to the great original idea it was, then I think BB could regain all its crediblity back and run for lots more years yet.

BB would certainly do wonders for Channel 5s viewing figures. So let's hope.

I'd say US style for 1 or 2 years, just for something different and to get people watching, but I don't know if it would work because I think everybody would be too scared to say they're there for the money and talk openly about nominations.

I think the US format would be better.

BB is after all a compitition and I would prefer the victor is decided by skill rather then someone sucking up to the public.

Also from a costs perspective I'm sure its more ecconomical

Strongly agree. It may even require them to accept some lower ratings at first but it will earn back the respect again and eventually a loyal following with numbers to 'build back up' over a few seasons,
but,
it could happen if they do it right. Quite seriously go back to the original notion.

A modified version of the UK format. Let the public stay involved, but invert the nominations and voting system so that housemates only nominate to save someone from eviction and only let the public vote to save. Far less risk of losing more controversial characters that way.
