I thought I would share my thoughts on Corin, I have seen many threads on her, and to be honest, they are mostly comprising of 'how amazing she is', or 'how awful she is'. I thought an intellectual argument would help and help me let off some steam about this person.

I certainly have not seen anything malicious about her, she is by no means a Grace from BB7. I was watching that, and there was a truly despicable character. I can see why people like her care free manner, etc.

To me though, she stinks of what is wrong with society nowadays. She is the epitome of commoness. I do not place much emphasis on judging a character by their appearance, but in her case, I make an exception. ANYONE who places so much emphasis on their make up and tries to look like eveyone else is shallow in my book and lacks individuality and depth of character. How many girls nowadays wear fake make up, have the same look as her. She really does look like so many other people out there and I find it depressing.

From analysing her character, there is just no depth. She has never interested me in interesting conversation or any emotions. It is obvious from her eye movements, she is not being genuine. She is aware of the gameshow and is repressing her natural personality. She also comes up with unintelligent and cleched phrases. 'You've only got two weeks, make the most of it'. I also find her mannerisms irritating and her incessant use of the word 'like'.

She is a person who is a typical BB character to win, such as the equally shallow Sophie last year. Very popular in society as she physically fits into it and is not overtly offensive to others. She also tailors her personality, as her looks, so she fits in. We need more intellectual free thinkers who can make a difference in the world, not shallow wannabes who cannot see any more depth passed their make up.

I am elated at the shifting odds. Mario, who does have more depth to him, is now drifting significantly. It looks like Sam, JJ1 and Steve are gonners. It's a fight with Dave - this would be a huge victory for people with personalities, as Dave is really hated on here and to defeat Corin, would show there is hope for the people in society who are on the periphery.

Although this comes across a tad snobby i do have to agree with you on Corin..forget the usual threads stating "aww she's mint" and "she's a fake bitch" .. you paint a valid picture and one i do agree with.

On the other points i.e Mario & Dave and the 'personalities' i would have to say i'd be delighted for Mario, Dave, Steve and Corin to leave 2moro evening..for me these are the deadwood .. Even JJ2 or Andrew to go aswell would please me... Sam i fully believe deserves to be in the final with Josie... John James, well i change my mind on him everyday so i'm not saying i want him to stay or go..i just havent made my mind up about him still !!

I would never use the word "common" to describe anyone, even Corin - because it is a snobby and pejorative word to use.

But in some ways I agree with some of what the OP says. Corin is very shallow in my opinion.

Her lack of vocabulary and belief that her life is not worth living without hairpieces, fake tan and five hours a day in front of a mirror applying make-up does make me sad.

As does the goldfish - open mouthed, slack-jawed look that she adopts every time anyone says anything remotely interesting to her.

I don't know that any of that makes her a bad person, but I don't find her interesting as a character or a personality.

Thank you for posting something with intellect and forethought. I hate seeing posts where it just calls someone a bitch or something equally insulting.
I think it is wrong when someone who murders the english language or seemingly is devoid of any intelligence is allowed to be rewarded with money and noteriety. The last two winners Sophie and Brian are I'm afraid from this group. Why do people think that being entertaining is about being stupid and practically unintelligable. One thing i've found interesting about Corin, is that for the most part - she's been a bit of a loner.And i don't think that compares, to a Sophie type person, who always needed someone around her. I think to a degree she is a free thinker, and more self-reliant - that is, if you get past her "dumb act".

I don't think that is what corin wanted though, it's just been because one by one her fake friends have been evicted so she has had to form more fake relationships..

Corin is a 'type' in looks like for instance Katie Price, but the people who dislike girls like Katie Price dont feel that way because of her looks but because her actions dont show her as a very nice person. You have said that Corin hasn't done anything wrong and yet you have jusdged her because of her physical qualities. Is that very individual - no its what so many of us do without bothering to look for other qualities in a person. Why is Corin so unconfident without her make-up? Why does she feel the need to wear wigs? She has a fantastic figure (Fake boobs or not) so why doesn't she feel more confident as a person.
You say she looks like so many other girls out there - so these girls, these forum members, these people who would like to feel they have self worth and individuality - are you saying they havn't.
We are ALL individuals and everyone has depth - some people's personalities are more 'quirky' but dont give them a higher status because of that or you are writing off a HUGE PERCENTAGE of the human race
