So, there's been SO much speculation over the last few days mainly on Twitter.

People tweeted endlessly the other day saying that the owner of Channel 5 had finally signed this all important contract and Big Brother was going to be back next year on Channel 5, however, the owner of Channel 5 wanted to move the house to a new location. All in the space of about 10 months, they would build a new house, refurbish it, re-think the show's platform etc..
The thing I laughed at the most was apparently, the owner of Channel 5 allegedly said that he was only going to sign the contract for 1 year. Depending on how next year goes depends if he signs any more series. I bet you all may think "What's the point"

Of course the first year on Channel 5 is going to be awful. Big Brother has lost so many fans over the last 10 years, once people gather it is on Channel 5, they will slowly come back and take a look at what has been done differently to it and so on...the viewers won't rocket through the roof just because Channel 5 have got their hands on it, it'll take time. The first year at least would be bad for ratings as a lot of avid viewers that watch now, said they wouldn't watch it on Channel 5, it's just not the same. Another thing that he apparently said was that there was going to be NO spin off shows, BBLB and BBBM would all be gone.

However, there were no sources posted with this, so nobody could trace where the information came from. This leads me to believe it is Fake!

This morning, I logged onto twitter to find more rumours flying about all over the place that Elstree had extended the lease on the house for a further 3 years. This leads people to believe that Big Brother will be back for another 3 years, right up until Big Brother 14. But guess what, there were no sources with these rumours, so again, I believe it's fake.

My question is; Does anyone actually know what is going on with Big Brother and the future of the format?
