Cuz the producers think the pubic are such unsophisticated viewers they enjoy watching disillusional ar*holes who think they can sing.

I expect because the majority of those shown on the main show [especially the ones that are shoved down our throats in the montages, just to remind us of them] are the ones who have made the Final 12, and the ones that are shown on Xtra Factor are those that probably made it to the Judge's Houses, but failed to get any further.

I never really bother with Xtra Factor because I always assume the acts are going to be of an average standard compared to the main show, but I guess I'll have to watch it sometime.
