Does anyone else think this is slightly unneccesary?
I will still be buying it because its Tomb Raider, but I didnt think there was much wrong with the Legend/Anniversary/Underworld era. I thought the franchise had found its footing after the dire Angel Of Darkness.
Hopefully i'll be proven wrong though and it blows those games out of the water.

I remember thinking when I saw the E3 demo that it was horribly generic. I know the original five games are incredibly outdated nowadays but it just looks like every other two bit behind the shoulder on-the-rails game now with these stupid 'press buttons fast to avoid the baby on a spike' [/Izzard] excuses for gameplay.

Tomb Raider's charm was in it's English daftness and clunky as hell yet addictive gameplay. The series set sail for me after Chronicles. I haven't been interested in it for years.

And look what it's going up against. Uncharted.
