His performances towards the end of the show i remember were admittedly shaky, but he performed 2 or 3 songs on the live shows which i thought were just genius.

Amelia looks to be the stand out so far according to the replies! Think she has a good voice, but not sure if she is 'special'. Granted it's early on and she's only 16, but with the likes of matt cardle and leona, when they sing, they have the talent to touch a nerve whereas with amelia it's just voice.

Well the XF is about getting a singer who will be successful in the charts. Leona Lewis has done very well, so if Matt is as talented I'm sure he will do very well also.

Talent doesn't get you in the charts, image does. Matt has no target audience, he's not going to get young girls purchasing his singles because he's not good looking enough and he's also not going to get other people who dont watch the x factor buying his stuff as most people are put off by anything x factor. I think he'll get decent sales but thats about it.

Put him in a singing contest and he'll blow the majority of the charts away with his talent, i can;t believe you are actually using chart sales as your argument, there is hardly any talent in there at all, all puppets.

As for the first sentence in the above quotation, yes that is what the x factor is about, but more often than not the best voice wins, as was the case with joe mcelldrey, we all knew he would flop but he still won as he had a good singing voice.

I don't think all musicians in the charts are puppets. And does that mean that you would think Matt is a puppet as well, after all he has had a top ten hit.

And SuBo has sold millions on her talent alone, she doesn't have much going on image-wise.

Maybe Matt's only real talent is being good in song competitions (and wearing a hat).

True, i meant to say the majority are puppets.

As for SuBo, the reason why she is doing well is because she has an amazing voice and she has an amazing story which has captured peoples hearts. Btw, i'm not saying all plain looking people that have talent dont make it in the charts, im saying some do, some dont, are you honestly disagreeing with that.

As for your last comment, by saying what you said implies you pretty much agree with me and admit that he has talent. If he doesnt have the personality/charisma to make it in the charts means nothing, as this whole discussion is based on whether or not he has talent.

As i said before if you disagree fair enough, not sure why you are arguing with me for, we disagree, is it a crime to disagree?

I will wait and see what they do in the first show, I was amazed Louis didn't put through initially Sami, but I am glad she is in now since Goldie left.

I am fed up of the mucking about with the groups that Tulisa did, she will be down to 2 acts within 4 weeks likely due to the girl group and awful girl duo '2 Shoes' going out early on.

I think Kelly did good with the girls and likely has the winner this year.

Gary sent his best performers and singers home,I think that Frankie guy could have stood there just laughing not singing and Gary would have still picked him.He's made a mess of the boys category.
