Richard Desmond's Channel 5 has confirmed that a timeshifted channel of its main network will launch next week on terrestrial and satellite television.
According to BARB data and promotional adverts currently airing on television, Channel 5+1 will launch on Freesat, Freeview and Sky on December 6. channel 5+1 will launch on virgin media in 2012 will this help big brother get more raitings in the new year!? I think it will help BB get higher ratings, although if it's on at 10pm then maybe to a lesser extent, CBB usually timeshifts by about 300k ish so if we can get an extra 150k through channel 5+1 then an eviction with 2.5 could easily timeshif to 3 million. Hopefully channel 5 will put cbb on at 9 pm and have either one eviciton show or have two but on earlier, 11pm is a bit too late for an interview IMO!
