Ne1 else think theres more to this clue, the "NEEDS" part intrigues me, maybe the newbies will hav some power of some kind over the oldies.

Maybe drumroll big shock, they won't get their suitcases and will have to steal food from the main house.

This would explain the easiness of the task and how they manged to pass, even though it was quite clear they messed it up.
