Don't know if this has already been mentioned, couldn't watch it BB last night so watched it this morning. Deana done an impression of Conor's accent, basically mocking him then saying 'I can't even understand you.'

Now.. I'm pretty sure if Conor turned around to Deana and put on an Indian accent and said 'I can't even understand you' then it would've been all over the newspapers about racism.

What do you think?

I do agree actually. I remember when BB10's Marcus got called up for it and he destroyed them in the DR. He said if he had been taking the piss out of anyone but Sree's accent he wouldn't have been called in, or if anyone else did it, they wouldn't have been called.

i think its ok to take the piss out of any accent myself. its not racist unless what your saying is. she just couldn't understand him i cant either sometimes just because he cant speak properly nothing to do with where from.

deana doesn't have an accent.... so yea, if conor impersonated her with an accent she didn't have based on her heritage that would be pretty racist. Deana saying that she couldn't understand conor because he mumbles is just saying it like it is. Not the same

Erm.. I'm pretty sure if I just heard her voice I could tell she was Indian. She doesn't have a strong Indian accent but you can definitely tell she is Indian just by listening to her voice.

You're probably right, but I just don't hear it. Most likely because I'm American and all I hear is an English accent. Do other English people on this forum find her accent as instantly recognizable?

Deana was criticising his mumbling and not his race... and Conor couldn't really turn around and do a mock Indian accent as you suggest because Deana in fact speaks very clear English and doesn't have any sort of Indian accent. She was at no stage mimicking an Irish accent, but was clearly just mimicking his mumbling.

she does have a bit of a accent actually. sometimes she sounds very indian .
