somebody posted this on digital spy yesterday. made me like her more and more. she only cried for a bit yesterday then she got onto intelligent conversations, unlike Grace who spent the whole week crying

'After everyone had gone to bed, Ash was chatting to Michael. There was a long of sound cut at the start of this, so this wasn't everything she said on the subject, but it seems like Ash has finally come to realise what was going on between her, Lea and Nikki, and other female HMs with regards to Pete.

She said:

"Do you know what it was with Pete, I felt like he was a discovery, like I discovered him, because I have never, ever, ever met a guy like that before. It was like, Oh my God, wow, he is a discovery to me, like wow. But he's not, he is his own person, do you know what I mean?"

Michael comments on the number of female HMs who fancied Pete and how he thinks Pete will be a well know figure on the outside. Ash says that she thinks Pete will win, that he has got to win, and that's why she always talks to him and tells him he has to stay and be strong, because he deserves it big time. She then said...

"Yeah, that's why when like... I got a bit protective over something that I shouldn't of, and I think that's why they booed me."

[Sound Cut]

"I think the thing with Lea, and Nikki...and me, was like, none of us had ever met a guy like Pete. So when we met him, we felt like he was our discovery, and we just wanted to hold on to that because he was so amazing and so kind and so gentle and so thoughtful and not like every other typical bloke. But I think we got it twisted. Where you admire someone, doesn't mean that you...do you know what I mean? Anything more than admiration for someone...

But then you can feel threatened when you think somebody else is becoming friends with them, because you think "Oh my God" and you don't want to lose an amazing discovery that you just found. But it's not that, it's not that. I swear Pete has got magic powers [laughs] he's amazing, amazing."

They were then messing around for a bit as Michael imitated Pete bird whistling and jokingly said that he was the improved Pete, better whistler, better drummer, more spiritual and how he is going to win. Then Ash continues...

That's what it is with Pete and these girls. Cause if you look at the whole story, it's been Pete with girls that are infatuated with him and feel threatened when other girls...

It's moments like these that make you think that the sound cuts are for editing what the housemates are saying rather than advertising or talking about people outside.

I doubt saj was tryin to change peoples opinions of ash, he was just postin, you know like everybody does and what this forum if for...just because you don't like ash, doesnt mean to say others don't, it was a fair enough post, if you don't like it then tough.

Maybe the Housemates are capable of having interesting conversations but they sound dip over them for any exclusive DVD content later on?

It would be nice to think that the only reason for the sound dips were for libel and advertising/promo situations, but it's clearly NOT about that.

I doubt it ever has been used solely for the above reasons stated by Channel 4 as the reason for the sound dips.

Am I right in believing they occured more and more in this series than in any other? Seems that way but to what end?

I agree, it seems each year it happens more and more and notice how we used to be able to press the red button and choose different boxes to watch different areas of the house, and now we cant even do that. It seems they want to edit it even more
