Default whats the first course ? horse - is a criminal investigation needed ? (poll)

whats the first course ? horse - is a criminal investigation needed ?16.02.13

its really expanding,
from northern Ireland to schools,
is this government fluffing,
do they need bigger "Walls".
supermarkets are sharp,
its all about the bling,
Sainsburys has a brill spokesman,
its there Boss Justin King.
admitting there's a journey,
but will it rise consumers confidence,
seen as its spreading,
contagious is this substance.
i question the labels,
what is the point of this print,
its like saying "don't run",
but encouraging the "sprint".
someone has to be responsible,
this can not be a one off blunder,
it is serious fraud,
a criminal investigation must thunder.
lets see what happens,
i am off for dinner of-course,
don't dare be "sarcastic" reader,
i have got "Rump Steak" and it better not taste like "horse".

( i can not understand the point of labels as this has happened. does it not defeat the whole point of any label ? can we trust anything ? this is damaging. but does anyone else feel this strong - please vote in my poll.)

It does make you lose faith in everything the government bodies there to ensure nothing contaminates the food chain, the producers of this muck and the supermarkets that stock it.
Like you say is anyone going to believe what is listed as ingredients on a product now?

I personally don't have a problem with eating horse, but i understand why many other people do.

It's especially hilarious cause so many Brits like to say Americans have horrible food, it's so processed, and we have genetically modified incredients...

OK, but atleast we know what's in our food.

No body in the EU has any idea what they are eating lol.

So they are testing for horse, i wonder if they started testing for dog and cat what they'd find...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/fe...eft-flatfooted

''The verdict of the MPs on the environment, food and rural affairs committee is likely to be seen by the coalition's critics as a crushing condemnation of ministers' attempts to deregulate the food industry.

But ministers will take comfort from the fact that few consumers appear, so far, to blame the government for the crisis with meat processors and food manufacturers shouldering the odium.

Highlighting the "diminished role" of the Food Standards Agency (FSA) since it lost staff and funding in 2010''

Well it seems nobody is blaming the government even though the same has happened as does when anything is deregulated, it cocks up massively.

Yes it is criminal, we choose what we eat and more to the point what we want to eat, if we pick up an item that says it is a certian product then it should be that product.

Anything else is totally unacceptable and therefore should be a criminal act, supermarkets also in particular should have the fullest knowledge of what they are selling and where the contents of same come from.
