In BBUS you'll never hear "This is Big Brother." In fact Big Brother isn't a theoretical character in BBUS.

The house looks good, but i don't understand how they can keep people indoors for 3 months straight with no access to fresh air or natural sunlight, isn't that bad for your health?

I like that they are making Big Brother voice a character on the show like in the UK ands Aus versions.

There is an actual outdoor area too - just a small yard with a hot tub. It'll be funny if they have to win access to the hot tub so actually have to compete to win "fresh air".

I do think the "back yard" lets it down. Understandable why it has to be indoors but they could have done much more to make it look and feel like an outdoor space - mainly adding greenery and some planting (even if fake)and not making the walls look so flat and lifeless.

There IS a big brother in BBUS but they never show it on the show. If you watch the live feeds you'll hear Big Brother make announcements over the intercom.

They rarely, if ever, announce themselves as Big Brother. Usually it's a simple "Rachel to the diary room" or "Janelle, please put on your microphone". The producers are then quite informal with the housemates in the diary room - they are directed rather than questioned, and there is no pretence that the producers are the character of "Big Brother" - most of the time the HGs refer to the producers by name rather than Big Brother.

It would be nice therefore to see the character of Big Brother used a bit more in the Canadian version - I don't think they'd go as far as the UK version, but the occassional touch would be a nice point of difference to BBUSA.
