With the news of of a major revamp for the House and Exterior, i decided to make a concept of an Exterior which could be suitable for Channel 5. It's not the best but it combines the favourite parts from Channel 4 and Channel 5 together.

1. Aerial Shot
The Shot basically shows the layout of the presenting podium and where everything goes.


2. Stage
This shot shows that the large eye stage Channel 5 use is still here, however has moved to the other side of the compound. It also shows that there is a combination of the Channel 4 style stages. There are stairs to walk to the stage and through the crowd, as well as a bend in the stage. You can also see the large screen and door. The old stairs are also back.


3. Eye Studio
Just showing the entrance to the eye studio


4. House Front
Shows that the screen is still intact as well as the door screen. The barbed wire fence also returns and the stairs from the C4 era.


5. Presenting Podium
Closer look


6. Walkway
This is back after popular demand. It brings back the old walkway from a car to the stairs. As well as this, due to the planning permission saying the House must be separate to the studio, large walls cover the area making it feel more like an Arena.

Its the exact same except you removed the stand and reversed the stage arround

It's not exactly the same.

• The door has been pushed back further into the House
• Stage has been moved to the other side
• The screen is larger
• There is a second screen
• Just one audience stand
• Old stairs are back
• The Housemates will exit cars and walk to the House
• Curved part of the stage
• Walls surrounding making it like an arena

That's the most you can do. The stage has to stay regardless.

Only noticed the stairs now. I liked the curved part but if there is going to be people there how will they get in?

There isn't supposed to be, it's a Camera thing, there's stairs for crew access ect so they take less space up in the actual audience.

The split walkway is a bit stupid really as the space in the middle is completely enclosed and if putting a few fans in there you can't expect them to climb down in to it.

The second screen seems pointless to be honest and I don't get the idea of on the one hand enclosing the arena with walls but on the other wanting the cars back (even though you've kept the eye).

To be honest I don't think it works - I think you've made a mistake in kind of starting with both the C4 and C5 template and would be better off starting from scratch and thinking about what you want think the space needs to do and then create the set from there.

Split walkway wasn't for fans to begin with. The whole walls thing would really have to stay anyway, the compound is fenced off. But this was ages ago now anyway so what does it matter.
