After several threads wondering why people dont like Dan i thought id answer

I dislike him because he is smug, pretentious and shouts down anyone who dares disagree with him!

Poor Jemima didn't stand a chance he railroads people into submission until thu too tired to argue their point! Thus allowing him to gain the upper hand and assume he's won.

If that doesn't work he belittles people who aren't natural arguers and can't find the words to come back at him with

Eg to dexter 'I thought you were a publicist, you can't even get your words out' then laughs in his face.

He is absolutely in love with himself and thinks that housemates should absolutely take everything he says as gospel because 'he was a detective and he always right' , and if the housemates disagree then they're an actor.

He loves the sound of his own voice. I don't know why because its whiny and patronising and full of itself.

If he isn't loved then he wont shut up about it.

When Hazel said he was the best looking in the house he completely agreed with her with his awful smug nasty face.

They all sound pretty shallow reasons for not liking him in my opinion. I think we all knew you hated him anyway but I see very little, if in fact anything the way you describe things above, in him at all.

It is your view,you are totally right to express your view.I would defend that competely.
We who really like Dan though,all likely knew it anyway and you have re-iterated it again here,it surprises me you actually feel the need to make so many threads about it or him to be honest.
For someone I disliked so much as you say you do Dan,I wouldn't be wasting my time and energy bothering about them whatsover and certainly wouldn't be giving them any publicity,good or bad.

But when hes openly displaying such characteristics its not hard to see why people arent responding well.

What, I am 21 year old male, I couldn't care less if he was Quasimodo,I would still find him entertaining and I like his analysing of things and poking around as to issues with all sorts of possible different conclusions.

I am a great fan of Columbo on TV and love the way,(even though that is fiction), he goes on and on about things eventually breaking down the red herrings and reaches his conclusions.
What I am seeing from Dan and Dexter and many others too, is entertainment.

I have never so far in my life, judged or just liked anyone, female or male, for their looks.
Is that the best you can come up with as to why I like him or is there more behind the statement?

At first he was my favourite but all this trying to guess who's a mole and pointing fingers at people and trying to get others to buy into his ideas is really getting on my nerves now and he is falling in my estimation - hopefully he will relax and just enjoy himself soon.
