In the BB/CBB Series:

2 - Never been done before
3 - BB1/2 and CBB1/2/3
4 - BB3/4/5/6/12
5 - BB9/10/11/13/14 and CBB6/7/9/11
6 - BB7/8 and CBB4/5/10/12
7 - UBB and CBB8

Statistically, 5 housemates is most common

How much of a joke was CBB8 with 7 finalists?

Literally no one knew when the eviction nights were, Channel 5 pulled that series out of their arse.

Epic launch night....Worst CBB after that.

Voted 5. 4 would also be okay. More than 5 is too full and fewer than 4 isn't enough.

Making it to the final is supposed to be an achievement and its a bit deflating when half the house is still in there at the end lol.

4 is the perfect amount, lets the viewers connect with then more aswell.

Actually 5 was perfect on Channel 4 because housemates were given decent time for an interview, unlike Channel 5.
