What A Liiife
|
What do yous think?
I think it's Kasabian, by a fair distance. In that time they've brought out 4 very good albums, they are consistent and haven't been like a lot of British bands, brilliant debut then going downhill. Each album has been different, the psychedelic style of the debut album to the pop-ish rock n roll approach on their most recent album Velociraptor. Serge is a very talented musician and the ideas he has for the band are brilliant. Best live band I've ever seen as well I reckon, miles ahead of everyone at TITP and that includes The Stone Roses, they were just as good at SECC when I seen them there. Had a brilliant first 10 years as a band and still have a lot more to offer IMO, can't wait for the album and Leicester gig in June. Other good UK bands have been Arctic Monkeys (went downhill in recent years IMO), The Enemy, Oasis 2004-2009, Primal Scream, The Fratellis, The View, The Courteeners etc |

I saw Kasabian supporting oasis in 2009 and they were good....Oasis are amazing on form. No new material but the come back shows by The Stone Roses were something else.

If you're talking overall then Oasis, but I was only counting Oasis' material from Don't Believe The Truth till their split.
The Prodigy have also always been brilliant, need to hurry up and do another album |

as in bands that have started within the past 10 years, then quite comfortably the Arctic Monkeys... Bloc Party would probably be second, Franz Ferdinand third, Kasabian fourth. Also really rate The Go! Team, The Maccabees, Hot Chip, Metronomy and The Horrors.
bands that started before then but have had a decade of great material... Antony + the Johnsons, Goldfrapp and the Libertines.
