Default How many times has helen used the "C-Word"?

People keep going on about Helen saying the C Word?...
Has she used it as much as people say? I only recall it two or three times...

When I mentioned this yesterday I was shouted down. Apparently in some areas it is used in normal conversation. Aisleyne was kicked off of BBOTS for using it. Most words are accepted but where is the line drawn.

She uses it in the correct context. When she's describing the flapping big fanny in front of her.

It's not a nice word... I've used it, when I've been really angry or amongst friends when it's been funny. But I'd never, ever use it in public, shout it across a room, say it on TV... because I wouldn't want to appear common and base, which pretty much sums up Helen.

As Defined in the Oxford Dictionery

**** [kuhnt] Show IPA
Usage alert
All senses of this word are vulgar slang and are very strongly tabooed and censored. The meanings that refer to a woman and a contemptible person are used with disparaging intent and are perceived as highly insulting and demeaning. There are many words used to refer to people in sexual terms. However, to call a person a ****, especially a woman, is one of the most hateful and powerful examples of verbal abuse in the English language.

The first meaning for that word in every dictionary is a woman's genitalia, and thus I have no problems with that word, if society wants to make it some sorta taboo and insult, that's their choice, but why should a vagina be an insult or something taboo.

Now I do think that some words should be taboo, I think it's necessary and does help people communicate better, however why should something that means vagina be the most awful word that can be mentioned in the english language?

I hate that word, i just don't like the sound of it.. makes me cringe whenever people say it. I have a friend that uses it quite a lot and i tell her to shut up everytime she says it. (and not in a jokey way) i actually feel like i hate her when she says it lol.

Depends on how certain words are used. Come to think of it, I have never heard of a doctor saying that he/she needs to check a ladies C...

There are lots of words in the dictionary that are insulting. Because they mean something doesn't make them acceptable. I'm sure the "N" word is in the dictionary and means something, but no one here is going to justify the use of it. For me, same goes with the C word, no matter who says it.

Well the n-words only meaning is an insult to black people. However the c-word has more than one meaning. So my point is not that the insult means something, therefore it shouldn't be an insult.

I think the n-word is more severe of a taboo than the c-word. Yet most of society thinks the c-word is the biggest insult you can call someone. But the word just means vagina, so again my point was, why is being called a vagina such a big insult.

And cushty, the reason you probably won't hear a doctor say the word while working is because as I have mentioned, people deem it to be some great taboo word. The majority can't thinking of a harsher insult, that's my problem with the word, and I'm happy to be out of step with the rest of society on this one.

I'm not sure people think the C word is the biggest insult. Certainly not to me, there are lots of things people could call me that would be more insulting but I don't suggest they try it. The C word isn't an everyday word for vagina; it may be its definition but it's an insult. Is it okay to use that word in front of children? In front of your Grandmother? In the workplace? If it's not, then it isn't an acceptable word to throw at another person.

Love ya though x

See for me the fact it means vagina isn't why i dislike the word, there's just something about how the word sounds when said aloud that makes me cringe, same with the word "pussy" if someone uses that word to describe a fanny, i cringe so bad. Maybe i'm just a weirdo lol

It's a word you keep in your reserve to really blow somebody up, because it is incredibly vile. People who use it often in life have no empathy or have exaggerated views of other people, thinking they are much worse enemies than they actually are. It's a slight step below punching somebody in the face where I live, and people who openly use it don't do it for very long.

She should receive a warning for using it tbh, imagine Mark's grandmother who will obviously be watching at home, she can't stand to hear any vulgar words, so imagine how she felt when the C-bomb got dropped, and she ain't going to be the only one out there by a long shot. It's BB's duty to make sure it doesn't make the highlights, or that the housemates using it never use it twice.
