Shilpa back in town

She's back and with a bang. Shilpa Shetty arrived unannounced in Mumbai on Saturday (February 10) and headed straight to offer prayers at the Sidhhi Vinayak Temple from the airport. She was escorted by her parents.

“I travelled in a private jet to avoid this,” Shetty told the crowd of paparazzi gathered outside the temple, summing up the situation with an all-encompassing wave of her hand. “But it’s just not ending,” she complained, somehow managing to look not the least bit offended.

So why is Shilpa, after talking her heart out to the media in London, so reticent back home - Is she playing her cards safe, or is this another publicity stunt, keeping the media at bay while being aware of the new curiosity around her?

Reportedly, Shilpa is back only to shoot for Anubhav Sinha's Film ‘Metro’ after which she plans to return to London, the city that revived her fading career.

As they say, the one who laughs last laughs the best. The racism row in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ opened up new career opportunities for Shilpa Shetty. But with her new found fame she is becoming unpredictable.

What remains to be seen is whether this new found international fame will make her regain the lost territory in Bollywood. We know, Shilpa – you want to keep your cards close to your chest. So be it - but we'll keep a watch!

Seen, but im just curious as to how long she's gonna be in India.

Metro is near complete. I think she has gone back for dubbing, as the film is to release in April
