Probably been a thread similar to this in the past but I can't be bothered to find it...

Just chat about tattoos.

Do you have any tattoos? Do you want any? If you have any, show them or describe them? You could explain what it means or your reasoning behind getting it. Do you think tattoos look good on people?

I got my first one for my 21st birthday in November...

"Let the good times be never ending" down my right inner lower arm. The reason I got it is because this is my favourite song on my favourite bands most recent album, that band being The Charlatans. The other reason I chose this song is just because it is a generally positive message as well and a good saying.

I'm covered (ish).

I have a full sleeve on my left arm containing roses, script, diamonds, wings, a pocket watch etc (all meaningful).

My right arm is being built up now too slowly, I have the word "Fearless" on my wrist, an "all seeing eye" on my inner upper arm, a crown and portraits of Amy Winehouse and Salvador Dali (latest one, had done December).

I also have a star on one of my fingers and roman numerals along my collarbone of my Grandfather's DOB.

I have a pretty cute tattoo of Ken Morley on my left arse cheek, nothing too outrageous

I don't have any tattoos yet... but I want to get one to cover the scar on my thigh from my car accident last year. I want to get one of those 'ripped skin with clockwork underneath' Steam-Punky ones. Can you tattoo over a scar? Does anyone know?

I've got a scar from a burn on my arm that I was going to get tattooed over but there isn't enough skin there. Was suggested that I incorporate it into a tattoo and it looks like a petal so I'll try get something done to fade it in so it looks like it's been tattooed

I have a tiger on my left hip which I got when I had just moved in with my boyfriend I was 23. No reason for it being a tiger.
I got my last one last year on my 48th birthday and its a quote across my left shoulder leading into the middle of my back, its quite large and it says *our lives are storybooks that we write for ourselves, wonderfully illustrated by the people we meet* alongside it there is an inkpot and a large quill. I had been wanting another one for years and saw the quote and loved it, I always say one say I will write a book. I am also leaving my body to medical science when I die and it will give them something to read lol I want another one I love tattoos, this time a pawprint of some kind, saw one I loved then someone I know had it done!

Thanks very much guys. I need to find a reputable tattoo artist and get some advice on my particular scar I think. It's quite a thin, fine scar so I'm sure they'll be able to do something for me.

..I was just thinking, I know I said about a more local tattoo place that I've known does good artwork, but I'm not sure how experienced they would be in tattooing over scars, so maybe looking in London for someone who does have a lot of experience..?..I found this one..(although I think there are probably many to choose from...)...and you can look at some of the artwork done there on YouTube, see what you think...
