Default Should they be allowed to discuss nominations?

I think they should tbh. I was one of the few people who really liked it at the start of bb13

I don't really see the point in BBUK because the HMs have no control as to who ultimately goes

True but helped to create iconic alliances like the outsiders

No. It's one of the fundamental rules of the format.

50% of the nominations are face to face anyway, so you probably wouldn't notice a difference these days.

I still like the 'no discussion' rule, it feeds paranoia

It was a crappy rule in BB13 as it allowed everyone to gang up on Lauren and Benedict in noms

This is true, everyone knows who nominated who these days anyway. It would allow people to discuss who they want to nominate beforehand but they all seem to nominate the same people each week anyway so

Yeah it's true! But free discussing nominations allows game-play and alliances which isn't in the spirit of BBUK, so I don't mind F2F noms sometimes, but being able to discuss who you'll nominate surely kills the format? Never seen BB12 and 13 though so not seen it in practise.

This. Whilst many other aspects of the format continue to be breached, I'd like to think that this one will remain intact.

There's a reason the first two weeks or BB13 were the best so my answer is a definite yes.

It was good at the start of BB13 but it would have been tragic at the end when the insiders started to out number the outsiders so no

I agree.

I hated the series where they were allowed to discuss noms as to who they were going to vote for and wo they did vote for, even planning who to vote for together.

For the weeks it was allowed it was all that was on the highlights and it really annoyed me.

If you want to watch BB for the ~strategic~ element just watch BBUS or BBCan lmao. BBUK would be a disaster if they were allowed to discuss noms, just look at the beginning of BB13 when nobody really knew what to do. We would have been left with Arron/Conor/Luke S controlling nominations and ruining the series

the noms talk at the beginning of bb13 made for interesting/different viewing, but ultimately it would have resulted in a few awful people dominating the series (which I guess the insiders did to some affect anyway)
