So spoilers about Scream 2 ahead...

Hallie was meant to be the killer but it was changed due to the script being leaked.

The original script of Scream 2 said that Hallie was to be one of the murderers, along with Derek (who she was in a secret relationship with) and Mrs. Loomis. Had the script not changed, Hallie would have been the only African American Ghostface.

What are your thoughts on this and would you have liked Hallie to be the killer?

Hallie would have been a great choice but not with Derek though.. a boyfriend being a killer is so boring..

That is quite an interesting concept tbh. The only impact at the end of the proper film is that the journalist turns out to be Billy's mother. Mickey is quite irrelevant.

Derek and Hallie being together is another good twist in addition to the other one, but I'm quite glad it didn't turn out like that because I quite liked Hallie as a character the way she was. Her death scene was genuinely frightening too.

Im glad it leaked because that would have been so crap with Derek being the killer too. A good twist would have been hallie being obsessed with Derek and bunny boiler like.

While we are on the subject I think Dewey was supposed to be the killer in Scream 3 and would have taken Romans subplot (that he engineered the whole thing, not the lame 'I'm your brother' plot)

I wouldn't have liked it coz she was someone I suspected whereas mrs loomis was a complete surprise.

Another alternative ending was that pretty much the whole cast was in on it. I can't remember the details but it sounded interesting

Yeah but this would be different since Mrs Loomis would still be the main killer, Hallie and Derek were just meant to be her helpers and she even kills them.

But I can take or leave the Derek part, the Hallie bit is the interesting part tbf.
