The theory claims that Jar Jar Binks was actually a Sith Lord, and the real 'Phantom Menace' in the prequel trilogy (with the reveal originally intended to take place during 'Attack of the Clones'), but that the whole thing was re-written due to the extreme backlash against the character. It sounds like a crazy fan theory, but there's A LOT of evidence to support it!
https://www.reddit.com/comments/3qvj6w/ Do you think it's true? This video convinces me tbh and if it is true, I wish they'd have been brave enough to execute it. Done right, it could have been an amazing twist (and maybe even redeemed the prequels).
