I think it's pretty good, but not hilarious.
I don't watch it for the humour personally, just for the storyline and plot.

It's popular over here. But see, we don't get any of your "quality" TV as you guys would say.

I like it but i find it boring and a bit repetitive, tripping up is one of the only jokes they use . She tripped over like twelve times on Friday. I dont think that kind of humour is funny.

Nice to get an American perspective Rory, i love loads of American stuff aswell .. Curb your enthusiasm, The American version of "The Office", Larry Sanders. The Simpsons, Seinfeld, etc etc.. but Ugly Betty just does'nt do it for me. I just cant warm to the characters.

Haha. I understand.

Over here Ugly Betty comes on at 8 on ABC and lasts an hour,
and My Name is Earl comes on at 8 - 8.30 then our version of the office from 8.30 - 9 on NBC.

I've only seen the first episode on ABC Family, and my TiVo will record it whenever there isn't a new episode of the office.

Edit: I was surprised to see that it won 2 Golden Globes! 1 for America Ferrarra, and one for the show itself.

The funniest thing about it is the fact that the girl who is supposed to be ugly is far from ugly!

Trust the Yanks.

oh yeah Larry David is the man.......he is funny without even saying a word, when he does that up-close "are you bull-******** me?" look i always crack up.
Curb rules, it makes "friends" and "ugly betty" look like crap.
