1 - Has the news become another form of entertainment? In some respects, yes. Celebrity news for example. 2 - Does advertising often creat insecurity? Sometimes, like advertising for fashion retailers etc and things like that. Stick thin models plastered everywhere on adverts makes people insecure about their weight etc. 3 - Is reality harmless entertainment? Not at all, we've all seen what it can do! 4 - Do media celedrities deserve their wealth? Mostly, no. They do not do anything towards the good of the country. 5 - Do soap operas reflect society or are they influencing society? Some do partly reflect society, but anything can influence someone, whether it be a soap opera or something else. 8 - Who is you favourite media personmaity and why? (what do you admire about them) Don't have one.

1 - Has the news become another form of entertainment? Yes. And not just celebrity news. It’s presented by beautiful people who give us enough of the story to feel the relevant emotions. 2 - Does advertising often create insecurity? Yes. Among many areas of the society. What I’m amazed at is how many adverts are sexed up. If you don’t believe me, watch the adverts and see how many suggestive images are used. Sex sells, apparently. 3 - Is reality harmless entertainment? I’m not sure. Programmes like Wife Swap can be funny and disturbing in equal measures. 4 - Do media celebrities deserve their wealth? Not in a million years. Their wealth is a by product of a society that has no real role models Politicians who lie, Royalty who commit adultery, Sport stars who take drugs. It’s a sorry state of affairs. 5 - Do soap operas reflect society or are they influencing society? I don’t understand this question. I don’t watch soaps. 8 - Who is you favourite media personality and why? (What do you admire about them)? I’m not sure what you mean my ‘Media Personality’ so here goes. I admire Paxman and John Snow because they give insightful interviews and they don’t let their interviewee off the hook. I like Jonathon Ross because of his work ethic and great sense of humour. I probably like Graham Norton the most because he completely cracks me up. Did you see last weeks show? So rude but so funny.
