I don't think a time lapse is grounds for plagiarism.
That's a trope as old as television. Especially as it only aired the other day. I don't see what EE has apparently copied from ED. |

Nicking the pace of Emmerdale as they modernised six years ago?
 Corrie and EastEnders were always faster paced than them so six years ago is when they finally caught up with the others. |
