I am watching a live stream of CNN news, this is crazy, people are using their phones to report and stuff because they were evacuated and couldn't bring their actual reporting gear.

Well it's possible that there are more packages and the current ones haven't been secured yet.

We've had more domestic terrorism in recent years, and it's been worse as we've edged closer and closer to elections. Both party platforms are enabling it in one way or another in my view. Some people on the right are calling it a false-flag, but I don't think it really matters. It's still home-grown terrorism and should be unacceptable in this country.

Early voting is this week where I am. Let's just say it's nice to be able to get that overwith and just turn off the news...

This is mostly off-topic, but that's actually kind of cool in a way. Could you imagine if all mainstream news here were covered here pool-side like MTV Spring break was in the 90's?

I would certainly pay more attention if it's a nice change, different from the glassy/neon studios with overly stoic talking heads. CNN in particular is the most mood-altering of the main three as they are always factor down to the most negative/scary common denominator when it comes to event coverage. I'm not a cable subscriber, but sometimes I login to my grandmother's account to check the cable networks if something just happened... but our local coverage is usually much better if that option is available.

This is what happens when the president of the United States calls the press the enemy of the people and endorses violence again them and years later he is still banging on about the Clintons and Obama too.
