Great News for all the Female workers
this news reader is very touchy and some females have said he goes to far. He is Going because "errors of judgement in his use of social media" [today his Twitter account appeared blank and he said in a statement: 'It was a misjudgement which I regret, but it’s been a privilege to bring the news to households throughout the UK for the past 40 years.'] Also he is Greedy 67 year old not allowing others to do the main daytime news. https://news.sky.com/story/alastair-...ement-11921001  [More recently, the 67-year-old has worked as a part-time freelance presenter, mainly on the lunchtime news and weekend programmes.] Last edited by arista; 30-01-2020 at 01:04 AM. |

He shouldn't use words like Ape when debating with a black person imo because obviously it's racist, but also even if he didn't mean it to be aimed at him like that, it's still gonna have people doubt him now which is unfortunate if it's the latter.

It's just like the Danny Baker situation - if you're smart enough to have an arsenal of Measure for Measure quotes at your disposal to use in any given argument, you're smart enough to know that calling a black person an ape as part of said argument isn't going to be construed in the way you intended (assuming his intention wasn't "to be racist", of course)
It's as simple as that |

...I read about this yesterday...and really, what MB said above...a tweet has to be actually typed out and sent as well so it’s a very deliberate action...sad way for his career to end but it is what it is if he tweeted it, it’s his own doing...

It baffles me that people in the public eye especially in important jobs still continue to be offensive, and try to pass it off as a mistake . A news reporter said the N word supposedly by accident on air when talking about Koby Bryan's death.
How did he think people would take a black person being called an ape ??, Rosanne was another idiot who did the same thing and ruined her career. It's their own doing. They're adults responsible for their own words .
