I’m old school and so I have the ability to simply take a quick look and instantly see the next ‘safe’ gap to cross over .

Our generation just had the occasional zebra crossing to slow down traffic

One of my bugbears is the flamin lolipop people who stop the traffic every 30 seconds to let anyone cross rather than using common sense and waiting to take a few people across letting the traffic flow better at the busiest time of the day
