Remember HEDGEHOG FLAVOUR CRISPS???

Link & Article below:-

http://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory.php?memID=4286

In the UK in 1981, Hedgehog Foods Ltd decided, as a joke, to produce Hedgehog flavoured crisps (potato chips). To everyone's surprise, the crisps were a huge success.

Hedgehog flavoured crisps were actually flavoured with pork fat and no hedgehogs were used in the manufacturing process. Consequently, it wasn't long before Hedgehog Foods Ltd was in court (1982), up against the Office of Fair Trading, on a charge of false advertising.

Bizarrely, a settlement was finally reached when Mr Lewis, of Hedgehog Foods, interviewed gypsies who actually did eat baked hedgehogs, to ascertain the flavour of hedgehogs. Mr Lewis then commissioned a flavourings firm to duplicate the flavour as closely as possible and changed the labels from "hedgehog flavoured" to "hedgehog flavour" and all interests were satisfied!

Mr SAX-

I love Space Raiders - Beef Flavour.

They are like Monster Munch, before they changed the taste, twice

I am VERY picky when it comes to crisps.

Ready salted or sea salt only, and they tend to be Kettle Chips.

Yes Amy

But the bigger packets are 20p but they go soft very quick, so I eat them fast, very fast

I usually buy 10 at a time and have about 4 a week + Walkers ready salted, which I go through about 9 - 10 a week too. A real Crispaholic, but there are many of us.

No wonder they make so much money.

I like Walkers, Wotsits, McCoys, Pringles, Seabrook... I love lots of crisps; aside from Wotsits and Seabrook, with the others my favourite flavour is Salt & Vinegar.

However my favourite brand overall is Doritos - I'm addicted! If I buy a pack, I can pretty much eat them all (even a large pack) in no time! So I'm cautious about buying them now - I buy them less often.

I hate Doritos Ash

They are barred from my house and car

I remember about 6 years ago, going to Alton Towers, and I was being driven there and my sister decided to eat two big packets all the way there and I felt so sick, it was untrue.

But, I know they are liked by many.
