So I stupidly left my carrier bag on the bus this afternoon with a few items in it. Nothing expensive at all but I've filled out an online form and they say it can take up to ten days to deal with. Grrrr.

Any experiences to share?

My son left his ipad on a plane and we thought we would never see it again but it ended up in lost property took about 10 days for them to get in touch though

i lost luggage at an airport once, it turned up after 2 months

I try to be careful these days about my stuff when I take the bus/train.
I used to forget things all the time.
One time at the airport I put my bag on a trolley and someone was walking off with it. Managed to get to it on time

We were at an airport years ago when left my backpack where you go to collect a hire car …. I realised about 15 minutes later and sprinted across car parks and through the airport to retrieve it .. just in time as they had made a call and were waiting for it to be collected and blown to smithereeens !!

It had all our money , mobile phones, iPads , passports and credit cards !!


Nowadays on holiday or days out I fix my bag on to an extending chain which clips on my trousers belt !!

Anything left on an aircraft and bus etc can take days to claim…by the time it’s recorded and logged in a holding bay. Don’t give up hope…
