Younger than 16 (you’re going to have to really explain to sell this one) |

16. Any younger than that is definitely way too young and vulnerable |

(In the case of young people who identify as trans..) I would’ve thought that everyone would agree that 16 should be the absolute-minimum age but there seems to be a bit of a thing about trans-kids needing that recognition and support too (in the sense of ultimately being encouraged to transition). I obviously disagree with that but where do you personally draw the line?

Early twenties tbh.
But as a compromise, I'd say it should start to be considered at eighteen. Even sixteen is too young tbh

You’d think so but society’s getting to a point where it’s seen as transphobic (or at the least very dodgy) to have the decency to draw the line at impressionable little children.

I don't care if it's seen as "transphobic", being called mean names is better than medicalising children for basically no real payoff.

to me it's not about age of consent, it's about the validity of the desire to transition. There needs to be far more stringent tests on suitability

and you cannot actually cross-sex transition as its not scientifically possible

Well sure, that's what I meant by no real payoff.
