CAMERON, LISA AND STEPH FACE EVICTION FROM THE BIG BROTHER HOUSE

Yesterday, Ray, the winner of Big Brother’s Head of the House task was called to the diary room to nominate three of his fellow housemates for eviction this week. As winner of the task, Ray won exemption from nomination himself but his success was a double-edged sword as Big Brother also appointed him the sole housemate eligible to nominate three of his housemates to face the public vote this Friday.

The three people Ray chose to face eviction this week are Cameron, Lisa and Steph. As Big Brother announced the three names, Ray covered his face with his hands. “Sorry” he said when the last name had been read out, but all three appeared to take the news in good spirits. “Don’t worry about it,” Steph told Ray as she play-acted strangling him. “Don’t be daft” Cameron told him as Ray apologised yet again. “I guessed the three” said Lisa “don’t worry about it mate, we’ll just batter you when we get out!”

The nominations tally after seven rounds of eviction nominations are as follows:

Ray was required to give a valid reason for his nominations; failure to do so would have resulted in an official warning from Big Brother.

In alphabetical order, Ray’s first nomination was Cameron. Having been exempt from nomination for two weeks, Ray felt that now “the honeymoon was over”. He added that Cameron hadn’t had the stress of hearing his name read out over the last few weeks and the others had. If Cameron left on Friday he would have had “that little bit extra by going to the South Africa house”. Ray admitted that he couldn’t give any other reason for nominating him, “I like the bloke a lot and that’s the only reason I can give.”

Ray’s second nomination was Lisa. “Where do I start?” he said, adding that when he was told by Big Brother that he would be the sole nominator this week, the other housemates comforted him and told him not to worry. Lisa, however, said “give me a break as I’ve only been here for one week”. Ray considered this a selfish thing to say and had thought “sorry love but it doesn’t work like that. I don’t see why she shouldn’t go up just because she’s only been here one week.” Ray has also found Lisa too self-praising, even though she considers herself to have had a hard life. “Fair enough” he added, “with her Dad dying, but a really hard life is being a single Mum bringing a kid up on welfare and here she is wining and dining with millionaires.” She’s just “looking for sympathy” he ranted.

Lastly Ray chose Steph as his third nominee. “The only reason I can give” he said, “is that when Gos, Nush and I were up for eviction on Friday, Nush went over to Steph to get a hug. Steph turned around and said that she didn’t really want Gos to go and therefore implied that she would have preferred it if Nush or I had gone. She also said, when the pub had shut, that she had a connection with Gos.” “No offence over it,” Ray added “but I thought, you don’t say that to someone when they have just faced eviction, no matter who stays, even if you don’t think they didn’t deserve to, you just say well done”.
