Default Is Big Brother 8 the best ever?

Think about it.....

*We had an all female opening night, which was unlike anything we've seen before, and we saw how they all got to know each other in that strange environment.

*One man was put in (the legendary Zigster) to see how all the women would react

(already a great social experiment)

*Two gays were put in so that gays would be happy and stuff.

*4 men were put in late which made it interesting to see how they'd fit into the group, and gave the girls a chance to win.

*2 prize funds!!! One prize fund was given away on the show! (first time ever!!)

*More housemates than any other series

*The housemates stay up late for the live-feed geeks, more so than other years, apparently.

*We've had the phenomenal "On The Couch" to educate the ignorant masses.

*Big Brother has changed the rules when it suits them so they can punish people for our entertainment.

*Some of the tasks have been really well thought out to make the housemates entertain us.

If you think about it, it's one of the best Big Brothers ever.

ZIGGY TO WIN

And yet it still managed to be the worst series ever, including BB4. And the ratings agree.

Jeez...

Only BB4 was worse. This series has been a stinker.

The all girl idea was a flop. The tasks and especially the twists have been rubbishly executed.

I have really enjoyed it, and think it has been at least one of the best ,though I know many others will disagree. I like more of the hms than in previous years, and the late nights have certainly been more lively than usual. My only criticism is that BB seem to foul up so many of their well intended ideas.

The no sleep task could have been sensational. I know from experience that after a certain number of hours we start talking rubbish, almost like sleep talking, which would have been brilliant.

Then the recent Carol OR Gerry eviction was never as dramatic as it could have been.

They had two goes at trying to split the twins using the hnd, but that didn't come off either.

It could have been the very best, but imo it is just up there with a couple of others. Twins to win and Ziggy 2nd.lol

i dont need to think about it BB8 Tasks Has Been a flop from start to end......Calling Ziggy Legendary is like calling charley subdude......more housemates than other series smelled of desparation......giving liam Ł100,000 early has been completely useless no housemate has even hinted at resentment like Big Brother was after....and putting people in late has always been a turn off

All in all MATE!!!! no Big Brother 8 hasent been a good series at all its all in youre Imagination !!!!

I would put it at a comfortable 4th:

1st - BB7
2nd - BB6
3rd - BB3
4th - BB8
5th - BB5
6th - BB2
7th - BB4
8th - BB1 (didn't watch)

I don't think it's the best but it is still good. It's out off BB5, BB6 and BB7 as the best for me, then BB8 after them.

That's just my personal order of preference. I know it doesn't match the viewing figures but it's the order of enjoyment I got from watching them.

I've thought about it..

"We had an all female opening night, which was unlike anything we've seen before, and we saw how they all got to know each other in that strange environment."
This could have worked, but didnt, as most of the women were alike and turned out to be a very boring start. This gave the series a very bad start, which is shown by the rating immediately becoming low after day 1 and never really getting the viewers back.

"One man was put in (the legendary Zigster) to see how all the women would react"
God. The most boring man ever in big brother. Hes even more boring than Gos. His droning monotonous voice and constant "I really do" and never finishing his sentences.

"Two gays were put in so that gays would be happy and stuff."
I'm sure gays can be happy watching a show without gays in it! But yes, these two housmeates were some of the best this year.

"4 men were put in late which made it interesting to see how they'd fit into the group, and gave the girls a chance to win."
The slow dribble of entering the men was pointless and boring. They should have all been in from the beggining.

"2 prize funds!!! One prize fund was given away on the show! (first time ever!!)"
The biggest waste of money ever on tv. They spent 100K and not one highlight show was effected by Liam having the money.

"More housemates than any other series"
I far prefer it with 12-14 housemates. Quality of HM is more important than quantity afterall!

"The housemates stay up late for the live-feed geeks, more so than other years, apparently."
This would be brilliant if they sorted out the live feeds.

"We've had the phenomenal "On The Couch" to educate the ignorant masses."
Phenomenal?!?! Phony psychiatrists imterpretting small movements by housemates in order to futher force the viewers into liking/disliking a certain housemate.

"Big Brother has changed the rules when it suits them so they can punish people for our entertainment."
This is not a good thing!!! Deliver unfair punishments in order to fix the show has been a major put off this year!

"Some of the tasks have been really well thought out to make the housemates entertain us."
The tasks started off terribly but did get better. Wouldn't call them thought out though.

"If you think about it, it's one of the best Big Brothers ever."

Nah, its been allright. I have enjoyed it. But it just hasn't had the big characters and classic moments like previous series' have. Think BB5,6 and 7. They were far better than this one.
The twists weren't thought out AT ALL. They had some good ideas, but every single one was executed terribly. From the waste of having Thaila in for just a few days, the fake eiction being obviously not a normal eviction or interview, so charley knew something was up, and the questions being rubbish in order to avoid fights in the house. They nearly abandoned showing it to the house, you know!
The HWH was rubbish, the guru twist was unexciting and saw one of the few funny housemates leaving instead of the one HALF the voters wanted out, out of 6! Why they didnt just take the gurus into another room and show it on the plasma i don't know.

Overall, the housemates have been a bit dull. Carole has dominated the show and sucked any tiny bit of fun out. Big Brother hasn't been impartial, favouring certain housemates, and the producers just haven't really thought anything through.

Lets hope the apalling 3m viewer rating will mean a good show next year.
We'll see
