From Sky News A man has been arrested on suspicion of planting a nail bomb outside a primary school. The bomb exploded in a teacher's car at Runnymede St Edward's prep school in Liverpool, on Friday. Described by police as an "improvised firework-type device", it went off minutes before the end of the school day. The vehicle, a Nissan Micra, belonged to a female teacher. It was parked about 30ft from the windows of the £4,500-a-year public school. No-one was hurt. A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: "A 21-year-old man from Huyton, Merseyside, has been arrested on suspicion of causing an explosion." The spokeswoman added he was being questioned at a local police station. Article | |||
