I'M A Celebrity stars Janice Dickinson and Lynne Franks threw the show into chaos after their bushtucker food trial - by refusing to go back into camp.

The pair of divas said they would not return after noshing on bugs and creepie crawlies unless they were given mouth wash because they feared they'd pick up a nasty disease.

Even though sworn TV rivals Janice, 53, and Lynne, 59, did exceptionally well in the challenge called Jungle Sweet Shop scoring nine stars out of ten, they caused mayhem behind the scenes.

In the stomach churning trial, they were cruelly forced to put bugs and insects in their mouth for 30 seconds to win vital meals for their starving jungle pals. But afterwards, the fiery duo staged their own protest.

They refused to move from the site and go back to camp because they thought they might have picked up an infection in their mouths from the creepie crawlies. Both stroppy stars demanded that TV bosses bring down mouth wash and tissues doused with disinfectant for them to stop them catching anything nasty. However fed up producers refused.

And so Janice and Lynne said they would stay all day on the trials site until they got what they wanted. A source said: "They really caused a stir. "Everyone thought they had done really well on the trial and then this happened. "They had a real hissy fit. "In the end we had to give in and hand them what they wanted. "The other celebrities wondered where they were.

"They were gone for hours." Meanwhile Janice has confessed she plays up to the cameras and a lot of her outrageous behaviour is an act. She said: "At the trial, I did what they wanted me to. "I put the thing in my mouth and pretended I didn't like it.

"Lynne was showing off for the cameras as well. "She did her meditation thing while doing the bugs. "Then as soon as the camera was off, she stopped doing it." However, former boyband star J, 31, has admitted he can't stand her and called her 'a fake'.

He said: "She does this (reality TV) for a living. "She knows what she is doing. "She is playing a game. "And she admits it. "I have never seen someone so egotistical in my life. "I have been in the music business a long time and I have never seen anything like it.

"I'm fed up with her. I can't stand to be on same show as her. I don't want to co habit with people like that. It's getting like poison. I don't like it. She's doing it to get ratings."

And chef John Burton Race, 50, added: "She is trying to hog the limelight. "And it's working. "She's a great player."

Cerys Matthews, 38, said: "She is very clever in the mindless world of reality shows."
