Blimey, it’s all happening today. We can now reveal that an old Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston song has been selected for whoever wins The X Factor. Soppy ballad When You Believe has been reworked by composer Stephen Schwatz and will be the winning contestant’s debut single, out just in time for Christmas. It’s one hell of a slush-fest, that’s for sure. What do you think of it? And which of our remaining finalists would sing it best?

They will. No matter who it is, they are guaranteed a number 1. Even if Simon has to but 1,000,000 copies himself. Who ever wins will get Xmas number one.

As far as we know Leona is not bringing out an Xmas single. Simon would not allow any other of his artists bring out a single at the same time of XF winner. Just because Leona is 2nd fave for Xmas number 1 doesn't mean she is bringing out a single, its just bookies speculation.

I don't think Leona is releasing anything else before Xmas, it's too soon after BL which is still #1.

I wish the winner's song wasn't always a cover. They always write a new song for AI, in the previous season they actually had a songwriting competition, entries were sent in and the best entry was chosen for the winner's single. They should do something similar here if they're too lazy to write a new song themselves.
