Radio staff get Hope for birthday Reality show rejects Hope have performed for the first time since leaving ITV's X Factor, by helping radio station Northants 96 celebrate its 21st birthday.
The five-piece girl band, who formed after being rejected as solo singers, helped the station mark its birthday by performing three live tracks from the X-Factor shows: Umbrella, Back To Black and We Will Rock You.
Northants 96 programme controller Colin Paterson said: "It was a night we won't forget for a long time. Managing to get Hope to play live, just days after their exit from X Factor, was an amazing coup.
"With an impressive live performance, it was a great way to celebrate the station's 21st."
The girls said it was great to be performing for audiences, which included past and present members of staff and radio listeners.
Breakfast DJs Jagger and Woody, who have been with the station for six years, also announced they had signed a new two-year deal.
Simon Jagger said: "We've loved every minute of being at Northants 96 and we couldn't be happier to be staying.
"The people of Northamptonshire have been very good to us and we want to make sure we keep delivering for them."
