Robbie Williams is rumoured to be planning a £150 million comeback world tour.

The 33-year-old is determined to make 2008 his best year yet after taking time out, reports the Daily Star.

He is hoping to even outdo Take That's comeback success after his former bandmate Gary Barlow reportedly said there would never be a place for Robbie in his old band, says the paper.

A source said: "Robbie's watched Take That come back and be successful.

"Now's the time to show he is even better as a solo artist and has the success that they can only ever dream of.

"Robbie needs Take That like we need the rain. His 2006 Close Encounters tour shifted 1.5 million tickets in a day, 3.5million overall and grossed over £170 million.

"Whatever the critics say he is a force to be reckoned with and everyone knows he puts on a great show which is why millions across the globe are always desperate to get their hands on his concert tickets."

Robbie will also kick start a health drive in the new year to get him back in tip-top shape, according to the paper.

"After so long out of the limelight his fans are desperate to see him back where he belongs, on stage," the insider added. "It's got the potential to be one of the biggest tours ever seen."
