KEVIN SACRE ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE

Kevin Sacre has left HOLLYOAKS having completed his final scenes for Jake's storyline.


FINAL TWIST
After six years on the show Kevin Sacre who plays Jake Dean has decided to leave HOLLYOAKS. Kevin has already finished filming his final scenes and left Lime Pictures at the start of April. Viewers will see Jake Dean return in May for a final twist to his sinister storyline.

EXPLORE OTHER AVENUES
Earlier this month, Kevin's character Jake was arrested after attempting to rape his wife Nancy before trying to kill himself and leukemia suffering Charlie, whom he'd had recently discovered was not his son.

We spoke to Kevin to find out why he's decided to leave the show, he said: "I have been here since I was 24 and I turned 30 in March. I decided that once I turned 30 I'd go and explore other avenues. We have a lot of good actors on the show and it's good to see them go on to do great things because people are always saying that HOLLYOAKS actors are rubbish, which is so unfair and untrue. I'd love to go and do something and people say 'oh look there's Kev, he's doing well and he's one of our lot.'



"I DO PSYCHOTIC WELL"
We asked Kevin what his ideal next role would be now he's left HOLLYOAKS, he told us: "I would like to do a British gangster film, I like playing the bad boy and I've realised I do psychotic quite well." Kevin's final scenes will air in the middle of May and will provide an exciting twist to his storyline so stay tuned!
