Default An Idea from another forum which I agree with

BB9 having both the public vote and HOH and POV.THis is what someone posted:

In Brasil, they still have public vote AND veto and hoh

HOH is immune and automatically picks one person to face eviction
the rest of the housemates then have one nomination and that person/persons goes up.

also, theres a veto and the winner can use it on themselves or someone else to make them immune.

gameplay AND public vote.
simple.

I don't want to big brother to go down that route, it would become to american , and following there format. Our big brother should be completly different/ Why following what the americans do when we have our own format.

But it seems more entertaining, so it can be more challenging, the public will still vote out and the public will still chose the winner, it just adds a element of competeition agganist each other and will get more arguments going.

Voters hate gameplayers.

With BB struggling to hold viewer levels this is NOT the way to go.

This is the way to go. BB Viewers don't hate game players, they just think they do. If it's made clear at the start of the show that the aim this year is to play the game then people will be more willing to accept the players.

Plus you're acting like gameplayers are just one type of person. Game players come in all different forms.

Our current format, if you can even call it that, has become so stale, the housemates just sit around not doing anything, just discussing what celebs they've met at China Whites in the past. The housemates should have to work to stay in that house.

Well yeah, if the alternative is another BB8 then I would welcome a change.

BB5 was a big step away from the previous BB's that came before it and that change was necessary and it was a success. It has come to that time again and change is needed.

I mean if you look at it this way, BB5 and BB7 had game players and they are considered two of the best BB series ever. BB4 and BB8 didn't have any proper game players and they are considered the worst.

I do agree with Redmond about the whole idea but I do not consider BB7 as the best series and it had barely game-players.
People get lazy while watching BB, I mean they don't to think that much or get too excited like you do by watching BB USA, and it's sad because that would rock the show. And we would get bigger personalities and the producers will get rid of all these wannabes.

I wouldn't mind them trying it out this year.Let's face it the ratings weren't great last year and it seems that people are getting a bit bored with the whole format. This would bring a new dimension to the show and we might get the chance to see a few more interesting housemates as they know a bunch of airhead wannabe's aren't going to be able to play the game in the same way.

I wouldn't like to see the POV because I think once nominated, you are nominated and thats final but they can adapt the HOH in, with them getting immunity and one nomination which is final.

They would still all nominate. Just the winner of the HOH comp would maybe get to change one of the nominations if they so choose. I'm not too bothered about having a POV comp, I'd just like to see HOH and allowing discussion of nominations.

They shouldn't be allowed to discuss nominations, thats one of the things which is good about our series. The backstabbing that goes on in the diary room is great viewing and its interesting to watch. It would completely take away that element of surprise if they discussed nominations.

I agree with that. If you watch BB US, all you see is someone talking about nominating one of their targets, 1 person overhearing them and telling the target. After that the target goes and starts arguing. It's really repetitive.

Well i like BBUSA and BBUK and i think we could take some ideas such as nomination talk because people then start the bitching and backstabbing in the house to others and maybe a chance for a housemate to be able to change a vote but dont call it HoH or PoV because i love BBUSA and everything but they sound so corny! an as for gameplay i like the idea but its very USA and not BBUK and i dont think you will be able to change BB to that well here because thats not what the UK wants out of BB... The BB here is very personality lead not gameplay

i think it would make people more competative, a change is always nice to see but not such a big change that we loose the BBUK that we've known for so long!

I like the idea of HOH, the competition could be done after the eviction, that person could be immune from eviction that weeks and get other perks. But I wouldn't like to see HOH automatically put someone up for eviction or the idea of POV introduced into our series. I think HOH for the UK series could work great if done correctly.

No No No No US adaptions!

I want the UK version to stay the way it is basics wise and just change the overall series theme and update it slightly like BB5.

I do like the Brazil reworking of the HoH concept, with the public vote kept, and do think it could work here in the UK - but I don't think it's right for us at this moment in time.

If they are going to opt for big format changes they need to be original this year - and if not they just really need to re-establish the core format of Big Brother and work with it rather than against it, creating a platform where bigger changes can be made next year.

I perosnally think this would be too big of a step for BBUK,
as not everyone watches BBUS on e4 so alot of people will probably not understand it and not watch it because of this meaning that the ratings will go down and next years will definitely be the last series
but if the make a few tweeks in the game like they did too BB5 then i think this series will be a big hit

Id be OK with t, if they just do it for one week or 2. That would be cool, just to put the housemates on their toes, and brng out their competitive nature. But I dont want it to be used for good. The normal UK format, is uniqued, and just fine like it is. But as a weekly theme, it would be good! Once in like week 3, then once in like week 9, then once right before the final week!

Why would it take away the element of surprise? Just because you can talk about nominations doesn't mean you have to tell every other housemate who you are nominating...people lie remember? So if a housemate gets evicted they still may be shocked over who actually nominated them.

Plus the backstabbing would still happen, but it would happen within the house rather than just in the DR, which is good because we don't get to see the DR on live feed anyway.
