Britney Spears' ex-manager Sam Lutfi has been ordered to stay away from the singer for a further three months, lawyers from both sides have agreed. The restraining order, which has already been extended once, was originally put in place in February. Ms Spears' lawyer Vivian Thoreen told a US judge extending the order was "in the best interests" of the star. Mr Lutfi's lawyer Michael Sands said: "Sam and the family are co-operating and trying to do what's best." He is not allowed to go within 250 yards (228 metres) of Ms Spears until the end of July. Psychiatric evaluation Ms Spears' mother Lynne obtained the restraining order in a Los Angeles court after claiming Mr Lutfi had been controlling her daughter's life by drugging her and taking control of her finances. Her father, James Spears, is in charge of her affairs until 31 July. Ms Spears, who was admitted to hospital and placed under psychiatric evaluation, has recently returned to work. She appeared as a guest in the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother as a dermatologist office assistant named Abby. Her latest single, Break The Ice, reached number 23 in the UK Top 40 chart. She was involved in a minor traffic accident in Los Angeles on Saturday when she hit another car with her Mercedes. |
