Default FA Cup 2007/8

Dunno if there's a thread for this already, but it's nowhere to be seen on the first page anyway

4th Round results so far:

Chelsea 3-1 Huddersfield
Bristol Rovers 1-0 Southampton
Cardiff 2-0 Wolves
Coventry 0-5 West Brom

and...

Liverpool 1-2 Barnsley

The big one starts soon... Man United v Arsenal!

Come on the Goons!

I'm not surprised Liverpool are out.

I hope and think Man Utd win, I think whoever wins out of the big game will go on to win the cup.

The quarter finals might only consist of 2 teams from the premier league

Full draw for FA Cup quarter-finals:

Sheffield United or Middlesbrough v Cardiff City

Manchester United v Portsmouth

Bristol Rovers v West Brom

Barnsley v Chelsea

If Sheffield United can beat Middlesbrough in the replay then we'll definitely have 2 teams from outside the Premiership in the semi's.

so it's now either Barnsley, Portsmouth, Middlesborough, Cardiff, West Brom or Bristol Rovers that win!

The last one to win, out of that bunch, were West Brom in 1968, according to Wikipedia.

So both the Carling Cup and The FA cup haven't been won by one of the big four this season.

I would say Portsmouth have the best chance of winning it now.

Barnsley were immense yesterday, shows what a bit of hard work can do for you in football. So pleased for them!

Portsmouth got lucky to be honest but I'm sure they don't care how they managed it.They did defend very well though.

Barnsley vs Bristol Rovers final anyone? lol

That's the end of Middlesbrough.Easily beaten by Cardiff City 2-0.That just leaves Portsmouth from the Premiership in the semi finals!

I'm supporting Bristol and Barnsley, I don't really mind who wins now. Portsmouth did beat ManU, which as an Arsenal fan is a good thing, so I don't mind who wins

Imagine Bristol Rovers or Barnsley playing in the UEFA Cup .There's a chance of AC Milan being in that next season, be a bit of a culture shock!

The final should be entertaining this season unlike last years yawnfest.

Not a final that will live long the memory for any neutrals, fairly scrappy game settled by a scrappy goal.I felt Portsmouth were just about the better team and defended well in the 2nd half.

Congrats Pompey.

Well done Pompey Glad they won because of Harry Redknapp and credit to Cardiff for giving it ago in the second half.
