It drives me crazy about people that say that the people who watch BB is either women or gay people. This is absoloute rubbish in my opinion. I have no idea where this came from, Im sure people didn't say this during BB3, I think its after the last few years.

Anyone got any opinions on this discussion?

The only place I have ever heard this is TiBB. Me, my dad, brother, a few friends (male) and 2 or 3 uncles watch it and were all straight.

Th again, my sister, granny, friends (girls) ALOT of female aunts and cousins watch it lol

And they think only a certain 'class' of people watch BB and they havnt got lives of their own.

Yeah it's rather stupid since a lot of straight guys (like me and some here) watch it. Those are just stereotypes and I'm sure some of these haters love to watch some stupid tv show we find rubbish.
Honestly, I do not feel that in France since BB was not aired for 5 years and last year, it was a huge success and everybody loved it. But it's not the same with BB UK.

It IS true that a big part of Big Brothers demographic is gay people. What bothers me is the people who say its just mindless TV. I like to be entertained. To escape into another reality. Mindless TV kicks ass.

I don't understand why people say that because the good thing about Big Brother and why its probably lasted all these years around the world is that anyone can enjoy it and it appeals to everyone because of what the show is about.

Ive heard about trolls on other forums mentioning this and offending everyone that watches BB. Also, its like this at my school even though there are lots of males at school who watch.

I agree.... a big proportion of BB viewers are gay... but loads are straight as well.

Some people are just on pedestals. They think anything that doesn't star Judy Dench, Trevor McDonald or have a boring droning narrator is TRASH!!

i think BB fans are fab with BB you either love it or hate it! i love it and i know others who do but then i know people who think it's a load of cr*p it's like marmite you either love it or hate it!

I usually hear "only saddos watch BB".

I fail to see how you can judge someone on their viewing choice. I don't ever hear anyone saying, "it's only boring people who watch the news", or "it's only old folk who watch Emmerdale", or "it's only perverts who watch porn" (actually, I do hear people saying that last one haha).

Anyway, my point is: I watch BB and I'm not a saddo! (well, maybe I am a bit of a saddo, but you know what I mean)

it really gets on my nerves when people say big brother is rubbish or your a ****** if you watch it - there are 22 people in my class (5 girls) and none of them watch bb - it's unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone I know, well, apart from a few of my friends, have a low opinion of Big Brother and say I'm 'mad' for watching it xD
I mean, I don't know how they can say I'm 'mad' for watching it because they've never really watched it themselves =/ so how do they know if they're going to like it or not..? x]

Well I am not a woman and I am not a gay person, so that just proves what a load of absolute cr*p that is.

I watch Big Brother because I enjoy the show, it is both funny and outrageous and that is my sense of humour

Some nice gorgeous chicks too
