Big Brother has set Michelle and Emma a small task - to bake a cake for the other housemates. And it was up to the pair to decide whether to add chilli to the mix.

Michelle returned from the Diary Room with a laminate illustrating their task for the evening.

She explained it to Emma, telling her that the other housemates would be tucking into a European banquet and that they would have to provide their own offering - a cake.

"Now we are gonna make them a cake, right?" giggled Michelle and excitedly revealed the twist in the task: "Do we wanna put chilli powder in the cake?"

The Bedsit buddies didn't hesitate for a second as they slapped palms and shrieked "Yes!!!"

Returning to the Diary Room they confirmed to Big Brother that they would be spicing up the feast "just to make us laugh."

"We could write on top of it "cupcake" - but it wouldn't be, it'd be chilli cake!!" Michelle suggested and dissolved into fits of laughter at her brilliant idea.

But their enthusiasm was momentarily tempered as Emma had a question for Big Brother.

"How do you bake a cake? Will we get instructions?" the Oldham lass queried.

Luckily Big Brother was providing instructions and all the necessary ingredients - including chilli powder and real chillis.

So, with Emma suggesting that they go wild with the spicy stuff, it looks like the housemates' banquet could become too hot to handle....
