I'm not all that surprised.They came 3rd in a very tough group at the Euro's and their form leading upto it was very good.

But the drew with two highly ranked teams and won their qualification group to get into Euro 2008, beating Holland along the way.

Look at the teams below them and you can only really make a case for Turkey to be higher.
