Default LET\'S SUPPORT HELEN!!

I really do hope this is a case of: When one door closes, another opens for Helen.

As I said on Chilledbootz thread, it may be a blessing, but she just loved this job and I feel really sad for her.

I have already sent an email to: lorraine@sky.com, saying how sad it was about the show, and how much I would miss the originals. I have also said that I hope she will continue to have success with LK today, and not forget Helen, who has lit up her programme.

I am also going to write to GMTV, and to Lorraine at The Sun. (email address is on the page chilledbootz highlighted)

If at least a few of us do that, I'm sure it can't do any harm. I don't want them to think we won't miss her, and at the very least, they may pass on how we wished her all the very best for the future.

How about it? Helen needs us! Bless her little cotton socks! Get writing!

I'm definitely going to write to the show saying how sorry I am it's ending and saying that Helen was the best thing in it (she was). I thought I'd also email GMTV suggesting they use Helen as an expert while Big Brother is on. I think Helen would like to know that we all wish her well and will miss her. Let's give it a try, can't do any harm can it?

Sorry you feel that way Milly.

I hope you are right about her not needing any help.

I'm glad that you still think the world works that way.

In my experience though, being good at something, and being deserving, doesn't necessarily mean you will be rewarded for it.

In many cases it's the ruthless and the lucky who succeed.

And as for emails not being needed..........SM:TV quoted the number of supportive emails they rec'd after Brian's second guest appearance as the main reason they took him on!

I don't think there's any harm in, at the very least, expressing our regrets at the show going and saying how well Helen did.

Of course you don't have to!

I know if I was leaving a job I'd appreciate a few kind words on my behalf, so I've sent them and I hope it cheers her up!

I will miss seeing Helen's cheery little face on 'Lorraine' twice a week. I don't think an email to that effect would go amiss!!

Please yourself!

Some of us would support Helen no matter how talented she is but there you go, we're not all the same!

i am trying to please myself and if i have upset anyone i'm sorry, but at least i'm being honest.
nobody can accuse me of not supporting helen and paul,i have sent stacks of emails supporting them in the past, and i can show you my old phone bills from when they were in the house(not a pretty sight).
i can remember when she didn't appear on the LK show for a week, and i sent emails wondering where she was and was everythink ok,then when she was on the week after i felt stupid like i had no faith in her,it was then i decided i wasn't going to send anymore emails, because i have got faith in helen, and i know it's not the end of the road for her.i hope you can understand what i'm trying to say,and why i'm doing it.

So what is the e-mail address you are using ?

I found this link that may be of some use. Stick Barnet in the search box.

It's not much but it was the only practical thing I could think of, as I do not have an e-mail address to petition.

I'll defintely be sending a few e-mails. Although I never saw the show, It sounded as though Helen did a really good job. Any chance of her working with Lorraine on GMTV do you think?

Milly "What's your problem!" Your logic is just plain "Nuts"

The TV industry is highly competitive in which even highly qualified people cannot get into. Helen cannot compete from an academic point of view. As good as she is with her lovable personality giving her some practical support in the form of e-mails/letters can do no harm and is a decent and intelligent and sensible thing to do for her. bananarama

Today I had an extremely nice reply from Simone Frazier who, it seems, is the Fashion Producer on Lorraine's show. She thanked me very much for my email, said how pleased she was that I'd enjoyed the show and said how sad everyone was that the show was ending. She said they would all try to ensure I enjoyed the last weeks of the programme. It wasn't a standard response email and I was really pleased I had sent it in. It does show that our emails to the show are read. I hope those of you who enjoyed watching Helen either on BB2 and on Lorraine do write and show support for her, and wish her well for the future.

But then I got people wishing me well in my future....

In the rejection letters I got when I was looking for work

I have this paranoia that those words may start to haunt me again

Did anyone try the link I left earlier, even if it was on their own area

I do not need to as I know where they are

This must be an object lesson that we must not tempt fate with the forces of darkness...

They are extremely busy and do not like us tempting them as they say it annoys them,

besides Fate is going on leave so it looks like another job I have to fill in for as wellas prophet of doom.

I have got to get a transfer to another unit

I think this thread has got a little bit stupid - such a weird thing to have an argument over!
Whoever wants to send in e-mails, CAN and for those of you who dont want to for own personal reasons, DONT!
Its as simple as that!

Dearie me!

I started this thread just to say, that I was going to write to support Helen. I also said that I hoped a few others would too.

I have written to
lorraine@sky.com

I have put a query on the GMTV website, and I have also emailed the same lady as Peachy.

As Peachy's response shows, the comments were appreciated. No one has to do it, but it's a nice gesture. I have appreciated having a litlle glimpse of Helen a 2 or 3 times a week, with her weird and whacky beauty ideas.

Bless her, she wasn't given a lot of scope but she did her best with it and has grown in stature.

I would like to try and return this thread to the positive supportive theme that I started with, if possible.

Selfishly, I would like to see Helen stay on our screens. For her, I wanted to say how sad it was, and that I hope she finds something else that will make her as happy.

Simple as that. No offence to anyone, OK?

Sorry, Davina - didn't notice your question before now.

Helen has been on the Lorraine show mainly presenting beauty items - some hairdressing earlier on, but mainly demonstrating different massage techniques, telling us about 'must have' beauty products, and generally having a fantastic time!

She'll still be on the show until it finishes at the end of this month - so if you have Sky 1, tune in on a Tuesday and Friday between 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. and you'll see her in action!
