Default *** READ THIS - BB3 DATES ***

Hi Guys.

I finally have some positive news on start and finish dates for BB3.

I can't really say at the moment where I got this from, however it was from a very reliable source, and I am confident that the following information is correct.

The First Eviction from the BB3 house will take place on Friday 24th May - you have not misread that, and I did not mistype it!!! I have 100% confirmation that the first eviction will take place on 24th May.

What I am not sure about is the actual start date. My contact believes that the show also starts on 24th May and that the first eviction will take place on the same day but is not 100% sure of this. However, as the first eviction is on the 24th, either it must happen on ‘Day One’, or we have previously been misled and the show is starting a week earlier than we thought. One thing is for certain, it can’t be the 28th

I have also been told that the Final will take place on Friday 26th July. This is exactly nine weeks after 24th May.

There had been speculation that the show would be running for one week longer this year and I had previously read a rumour on another site that the final would be on Friday 2nd Aug. However, I have categorically been told twice today that the final will be on the 26th July.

Interesting.

REMEMBER - YOU HEARD THIS FIRST ON THISISBIGBROTHER.COM

They're going to throw out someone on the first day?

If true, that's a bit mean.

Does anyone think that LEE is in contact with one of the potential housemates?

Excellent information Lee. Well done for being first with this interesting news. I also think it's extremely mean to evict someone on the first day, but with Big Brother you always 'expect the unexpected.

Great detective work, Sherlock!

Lets just hope my contact is right, or I'm going to have a very red face

I have some very good reasons for believing them though.

And I agree James and peachy, if the first eviction is happening immediately then that is very mean.

I don't like the idea of voting someone out on Day One. It's not giving them much of a chance at all. A week would be fairer.

I have been thinking. (I do sometimes )

We know that we are going to see the housemates going in live this year. I wonder whether my source has just got mixed up and they are not eviction tickets, but tickets to watch them going into the house.

There are definitely tickets for something on the 24th and my source seemed sure they were eviction tickets, but I wonder........

Still at least we know the start date if nothing else.

But what if your source is part of a deliberate misinformation campagn ?

There are 50 people they say on a shortlist at this time, are they all being held incommunicado ?

Default BB3

They normally let all in the BB house have a good couple of weeks to bond before evictions! I seems a bit mean to evict after a few hours,
After all the great Paul Claarke said that his greatest error was to make assumptions about his fellow housemates

It would b really nasty to let one get evicted one day after being in!

But they do say they are being meaner!

I reckon it's one of the previous housemates because some of them are acting as consultants for this series.

The start date for BB3 has now officially been confirmed as Friday 24th May. See story from Ananova:

Big Brother 3 gets first transmission date

The first instalment of Big Brother 3 will be transmitted on Friday May 24.

The one-hour show will be broadcast on Channel 4 at 9pm.

A follow-up programme will be shown at 11.35pm.

The live 9pm programme will show the contestants going into the house for the first time in the show's history.

This year's series - which will run for nine weeks - will feature a dozen contestants as opposed to the usual ten. The housemates' weekly tasks will be shown live on Saturday nights on Channel 4.

Big Brother is also promising to be much stricter this time around - contestants will have to give valid reasons for nominating their housemates for eviction. Failure to do so will result in an official warning from Big Brother - and anyone receiving three warnings will face immediate eviction.

Other new features on the show include an outdoor heated swimming pool in the gardens of the specially-built Big Brother house, which is based at the Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire.

The countdown begins ...... 14 days to go!

The person who I spoke to knew that the first televised show was going to be on the evening of 24th May and I think that they presumed that this meant it was going to be an eviction show.

They kept telling me it was an eviction show and were very positive about this, but I'm am becoming increasingly sure that they have come to the wrong conclusion and that the show is to see the contestants going live into the house.

I no longer think there is going to be an eviction on the first day of the show. However, as Kaz says, Ananova have confirmed that there will be a live show with an audience to see the housemates enter the house.
