Default Alan Carr offered £2m ITV contract?

Quote:
Comedian Alan Carr has reportedly been offered a £2 million contract with ITV.

The stand-up, who hosts shows including The Sunday Night Project and Celebrity Ding Dong, is tempted by a two-year deal with the channel, according to The Sun.

"Alan is perfect for ITV and our viewers will love him," said an insider. "He is the natural successor to Paul O’Grady and Michael Barrymore."

A source added: "Alan is keen to become a major light entertainment star in the mould of Larry Grayson."

He is doing great on C4 with the Project and Ding Dong. ITV would kill him.

Rumours of Blind Date with Alan have been flying around now with rumours of Blind Date returning stronger than ever, it can't be a coincidence that rumours of Alan moving to ITV surface at the same time?

He'll probably get his own Friday night show on ITV1. But by the sounds of it its not a handcuffs deal so he'll still be able to present stuff on C4.

Alan confirmed that he was never offered Blind Date the first time round and it was all made up.

So I hope its the same this time.

I know that, but theres a possibility someone at ITV seen the rumour and pitched the idea.

IIRC he never actually confirmed/denied whether he would accept if he was offered?

I know I'm clutching at straws here but something tells me the two rumours aren't coincidental.

JLC has signed up to ITV so it would make sense for Alan to.
I hope he doesn't because for that amount of money he will be tied to ITV and that will possibly mean no more F/SNP

Theres nothing saying it can't move to ITV ...

And ITV are known for stealing formats so they could end up doing something similar.

JLC is not signed directly to any station, meaning he can do any show that suits him on any channel. The same went for Alan until he signed up with C4 to do 'Ding Dong'.
