Darnell is as nice as Rachel or Kat, but he has an edge, and opinions, and he doesn't mind saying things which might be unpopular.

I don't agree with this 'sympathy vote' argument ... to me, the things he's said which might, apparently, get him sympathy, such as he's always been odd, and no girls ever want to go out with him, etc. are amazingly brave and honest, to my mind. They are far more likely to get people to think he's a tragic loser, and most men would never admit to them.
